Docklands

Docklands is a redevelopment site of 220 ha of land and water (1997) at the western end of Melbourne's central business district. It is administered by the Docklands Authority under an Act of Parliament, and the area may be enlarged or reduced by government order.

The area includes the railway yards west of Spencer Street, Victoria Dock and land westwards to the Moonee Ponds Creek, and part of South Wharf along the Yarra River.
